Funny Funny Hotel Jokes

Yuk Yuk! A person checks into a hotel for the first time in his life, and goes up to his room. Five minutes later he calls the desk and say, “You’ve given me a room with no exit. How do I leave?”
The desk clerk says, “Sir, that’s absurd. Have you looked for the door?”
The person says, ” Well, there’s one door that leads to the bathroom. There’s a second door that goes into the closet. And there’s a door I haven’t tried, but it has a ‘do not disturb’ sign on it.”

We held a seminar at the Condor in March. The sales staff was very helpful in arranging everything, the ballroom staff treated us like royalty, and the catering was magnificent.
– Tradition Title Agency, Bay Shore, New York

We came to the Condor for a tenants’ association meeting. The place was set up nicely and we had a great and productive meeting. We would definitely consider the Condor as our first choice for the future. Thanks

Red Hook Brooklyn – A very cool place to visit

Condor NY Hotel BrooklynIf you’re in New York, Brooklyn, perhaps staying at the Condor Hotel :), there aren’t many better places to check out than the Redhook section of  Hip Brooklyn.  It’s also a great place for Pro and Amateur photo enthusiasts to check out as well. So, enjoy the info below and remember to lug along the camera for this trip!

Here’s some info from

Though one of the oldest neighborhoods in New York, it is only recently that attention has been given to Red Hook’s industrial charm. With unparalleled views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, to walk down Red Hook’s cobble stone streets is to walk through history.

A newly built cruise ship terminal foreshadows more development to come, but waterfront warehouses still make up much of the neighborhood. To the east lays one of Brooklyn’s largest public housing projects, the Red Hook Houses.

Red Hook Activities & Attractions:

The best views in Red Hook are had at the Valentino Pier, which is surrounded by a small grassy park perfect for picnicking. The nearby Waterfront Museum and Showboat Bargeprovides educational programs for both kids and adults, and further east you’ll find the Red Hook Recreation Area, which houses a large public swimming pool.

Red Hook Shopping:

For antique jewelry, stop by Erie Basin, where owner Russell Whitmore sells 19th and early 20th century finds. Red Hook is home to both a Fairway supermarket and a popularIkea furniture store, which opened in 2008.

How to Tip a Hotel Maid

While tipping a chambermaid is not obligatory, it’s a nice gesture.

  • Be aware that the same chambermaid may not be cleaning your room every day.

  • Leave the money for him/her in a conspicuous and obvious place, such as on top of the desk, the TV or the pillow.

  • Give the money to the maid personally, as a safer alternative, or hand the envelope to the desk clerk and write “chambermaid” on it.

  • Tip a maid $3 per night in an upscale hotel, $1 per night in other hotels. If you stay for a week, a bit more (perhaps $5 to $7 a night) is appropriate.

  • Reward extra service, such as bringing more soap or towels, with an appropriate tip.

  • Avoid adding the maid’s tip to your hotel bill as you check out.
